VALENTINE’S DAY

imagesCAHOLTP7Is everyone ready for Valentine’s Day? I’m looking forward to it this year. The cards are bought and ready to mail to our grandkids. I found some cute candy trinkets for them also. There’s so much out there for Annabelle and Lilly, obviously, since Valentine’s Day has been, tradionally, for females of all ages. Not so much for boys.

This year, my friends, it’s different. Target has a couple of cute items I bought for our grandson. My sister-in-law told me about a tool box at Target and, when I saw it, it went straight into the basket. The cardboard box contained a chocolate hand saw, two chocolate wrenches and a chocolate ruler. Adorable! I kept looking to see what else was on the shelves and the next thing I knew I had a dilemma. Marshall loves to go fishing with his dad and his papa, and sitting right there in front of me was a clear plastic tackle box with Gummy fish, worms, frogs and lures. So you know I did it. I bought them both! He’s going to be so excited.

So that’s my story this year. What’s everyone else up to? If you don’t mind sharing, leave a comment telling me what your plans are. I’d love to hear from you!

Happy Valentine's Day, Carra

  1. Carra, I'm heading straight for Target as soon as I can. What delighful finds for boys! They're perfect for my grandson Rory. Thanks for letting us know about them. Of course I'll find something cute for granddaughter Delaney too. Our older grandkids will get cards, maybe with a little surprise inside.

    Happy Valentines Day!

  2. I have a hectic day. Our church women meet in the morning, then go to lunch, then I go to the dentist. Yikez! Then my husband and I will go out to eat. Not what I'd call a wild and crazy day.

  3. Sadly, my V-day will be spent at work, and then a night class (gotta keep that education going!). I don't want to be the Negative Nelly of the bunch, but I was never big on holidays. BUT, as I get older (37 whole years next month, yikes!), I'm finding my appreciation level for these days icreasing. I love spending time with family and friends, and if a holiday is what it takes to do that, so be it! :)

    1. Sean, Sorry your day will be taken up completely, but you're going toward the light at the end of the tunnel, right? My goodness, your right between my two kids in age(not old, by the way!). I've been where you are and you have a lot of V days and other holidays coming up. Enjoy that family every minute you can!! Thanks for commenting. "See" ya soon, Carra
