Lyn Horner, Author

Since I started this site to support and promote writing and writers, I'd like to take a few lines to do just that.

Lyn Horner, a good friend of mine, is an up and coming author who writes historical western romance with Irish magic and paranormal elements added for good measure. The first installment in her Texas Druids series, Darlin' Druid, is a wonderful blend of adventure, stormy, steamy romance and Druid magic.
She has also penned a lively, touching memoir, Six Cats in My Kitchen.

These books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Please stop by her blog site to get to know Lyn and to get the scoop on how to purchase her wonderful stories. You'll be glad you did!

  2. Hi Cara,
Lyn sent me. I read her Western historical and now I'm hooked. She's my cup of tea. You and I sound like we have things in common. I retired from a stressful job and spend most of my time with my nine-year-old grandson. I saw a post this morning that said Children are rainbows, and grandchildren are the pot of gold. How true. Although, I think my rainbows were a bit tarnished from time-to-time. :) Nice to meet you.

  5. Hi Carra,

Lyn invited me to stop by your blog and say howdy! I'm one of the authors on the Western Romance Authors forum and have gotten acquainted with a wonderful group of authors and readers. I have one book published, Trail To Destiny, (now ebook on amazon) and am working on the sequel now.

You have a constructed a great blog. I'm somewhat envious knowing it can be very beneficial to a writers, but just haven't found the time to get one going.

Nice getting to know you and will stop by again sometime!

    Happy Trails,
    Cheri Kay Clifton

  7. Hi Carra,

You've managed to get a good round up of western romance writers. Lyn is a great friend to have.

I'm the author of Under A Texas Star, but my day job is writer/editor/graphic designer so I hope you'll accept a design comment from me. (I've been helping other authors set up blogs and websites lately so I'm on a roll.)

Love your colours. You've got a lovely photo that captures the spirit of your blog. My one criticism is that it's too big. It's always better if you can see the content of a page without scrolling down. I would suggest cropping the photo to the middle third.

The colours of your title and description line could be a bit brighter too, but that may not be an issue if you crop the photo.

I look forward to reading your future blogs.

    Cheers - Alison

  8. Thank you, Alison for dropping by and for your helpful comments. I've tried to crop and that works for the picture(it's a mere shadow of its former self),but it doesn't work for the blog. Maybe I need a different template?? I will keep trying. ;)
    Thanks again, Carra

  9. Carra,
I understand your frustration. Blogger is great and easy but you have to work within their parameters and that can be tough. You've got a great photo.
